Grendin Ghoul Story Part 40
So This is the first part of the story when I became the Mourningviel.
Yes, yes. This is technically the next part of the Ghoul Grendin Story, but The Mourningviel Tale just sounds so much better doesn't it, my friend? I think it does. We can start it as the next volume of The Ghoul Grendin Story, title it the Mourningviel Tale, can we not? Yeah we can, and will.
So my plan was coming together ... Yes, I had a grand plan ... Okay fine I didn't plan to become the Mourningviel, but once I get a plan, I stick to the plan, and find people to run the plan so it doesn't fail. Like I did with the Library and Aller. He is doing such a great job of it, wouldn't you agree with that?
I am glad you do agree with that. It took way to long to get those pesky Mortals out of the Tomb, so I could begin to do my work as the Mourning Viel. It was a lot of waiting and watching, But I did start with the full expermentation and Casting a ritual. Kel was happy to hang out with me as I casted the Ritual. Sergeant did not complain either. Good worker there.
The first thing that was raised, or is it re-raised? Ah doesn't matter. Same thing in the end, was one of the Mummys we had killed. When we get out out of the tomb I had I think 11 mummies, and 2 shadows as well as the few speciality units I had, like the Skeleton Gladiator.
...
Sorry about that, Whenever I think about that time with Kel I can't help but get some songs stuck in my head. It is annoying but He, the Shadows, The Skeleton Gladiator, and Sargent deffinantly made a band and jammed out together. I think they called them self something like The Unalive Kels.
They Jammed together while I did the second ritual, to get me a big minion. Sometimes you just need a large minion like that to move heavy things, or just punch something annoying. It is really good to have a big brute, you just have to make sure you treat the big brute with the same attitude you treat everyone else. So many idiots treat there big help like slow minded people and that it was they end up getting betrayed by them.
After the ritual that got me the big guy, Kel summoned some food to eat. While I don't eat as much as I used to, I could tell if I was a human it would be rather spicy food. Though for us Dwarves it was just mildly spicy food. Though it was really good food. It was the same style of food for all the days that it I stayed in the Tomb.
While eating that first meal, I discussed with Kel how my family is all alive. My brother and sister both have kids. My family is all work in the same shop, its the family business. I did a decent job for many years working the family business, but everyone wanted to know when I would have kids. Like that was the most important thing is to have kids.
It is funny that now many years of being the Mourningviel that I realized that with all the new and young undead running around, that I basically did have kids, just not of my own blood. It was a heart crashing realization. So many Undead looking to me for wisdom, and guidance. From what Father Ignis has informed we have increased Nimboloth's influence to all undead not just coporeal undead. Which is nice. Life is full of hard ache.
The Next night I talked about the one friend I do miss, that I couldn't convince to move here as a labourer. My family moved from one dwarven hold to another. My parents would never tell us why they moved or where we moved from, but there was only a few other families from the same town where we were from. You know how it is, we hung out with those with the same accent that we had.
A few of us kids started hanging out together, more and more and staring going on wild adventures exploring our new town, finding out secerts of it. By a few of us, I mean like three total. We had so much fun. It was a shame when during a family outing, that Corenth Stronghammer died. He was out celebrating his graduating into being a full smith, when he tumbled down the mountian. Meaning the trio was now just a dual, just me and Sol “Ironbone” Brightaxe.
....
I am sorry as I mentioned kel's band got some songs in my head when I think about this time. Ironbone became a politiicain. Heck I was the best man at his wedding when he married Urkhart Ashview. Man I think that Kel would love the food served at a dwarven wedding. It tends to be spicy even for a dwarf. No human, okay few humans could stand that level of heat.
Ironbone is a good friend. I wonder what he is doing all these years later. I should of kept in better contact with him, though I doubt he would appreciate how I am now Unalive. That is one thing I do miss is my best friend. Having minions, followers and cohorts are not really the same as having a true friend, you know what I mean?
Do you? I don't think you do. A true best friend is hard find man, like really hard to find.
