South Carolina - Vol 2 - Part 1

The Family's Registry of Threats – South Carolina Volume 2

Forward:

I guess I did such a good job with the previous volume's of these Registries that I am still doing them, even though they are still considered a punishment. I should be working in the new developments that the Rogue Jessic's Bio-enhancement suit has created for itself. They were not supposed to be up and running for as long as that one has. It has difference's that I should be figuring out and incorportating into the standard suits.

While Charleston has interesting characters, this is about the people and the groups north of there. I would break them down into three groups: Heroes, Neutrals, and Villains. Though there are groups and individuals in each categories. The most interesting group is the ones that do not really fit the typical Hero and villain logo. The ones that are not part of either group. Or those that where part of either group but there actions have let them be either quietly or publicly removed.

The only one that worries me is the Group that calls themselves the Office. There headquaters are located in prime beach front location. There are set up similar to The Family, but unlike us, they don't Care. They don't Protect. They are too money focused to be as cool as we are, but they are as neutral as we are. Unlike our slogan of The Family Cares, The Family Protects, we don't know what they stand for.

Its due to our slogan, that we are able to provide the police force for a few cities, In and out of Canada. Even our headquaters city has our Pacification Force as the police force. The Office is too secretive to have such a good public image.

The Neutrals:

The Office:

As I mentioned they are a very secretive organization. They really take the office stucture to a T, and while we have a spy in there ranks, who I believe has made it up to Assistant Manager. The issue is that getting reports from that spy are not only rare but short and to the point. Though from what we can tell, the president is a cruel person who could probable teach the best of the best Torture techniques.

Best to just make sure that our ventures do not interfear with anything the Office does. It is best that they be given a long reach. I am sure if they got a Jessic they could do great evils with that Technology. In fact the only thing that I can really reccemond for our business interaction with the Office is to keep technology from them. The would do great things that would hurt The Family if given that technology.

Though I don't know where all the managers are, heck we don't even know where our operative is located. If I was a betting person I would bet that even though the President and headquaters is in this area there is probable at least one manager in the area too. Or between the headquaters and Charleston.

Warden:
Age: Unknown – Probable in his mid forties.

Gender: Male
Powers: Some type of soul stealing power
Hair: Brown, styled like a hipster business man

Eyes: Green
Real Name: I don't give a flying F.

This guy is a real creep who deserves to die. Though with his power a lot of fun people who we could of studied there powers and abilities where taken out of the equalization. Even people who had cool ideas or tech soul's where stolen by this creep. Doesn't seem to matter the age, the alignment or there creed he can still steal there soul. Normally when some one is taken out of the equalization one can still study them, with Warden that is not possible.

I really reccemmond avoiding any area that this Human at all costs. In fact we so far have avoid all contact with him. I feel that with such a strong power as him is why the family doesn't have any facilities in South Carolina. We only have our outreach programs there. We can not risk any of our important personal getting anywhere close to this monster.

I am always on the look out for any justifing for blowing up the area that he is at. For the past few decades I have not found any thing that could be justifing this action, I have seen him take out people trying to kill him from range via a sniper rifle with his powers. I have made it my life mission to figure out how to take this man out of the this world.

Doctor Doomsday and the Doomsquad

Hair: Blond, Shoulder length

Real Name: Nigel Doomsday

When you talk about Doomsday, and the Doomsquad we can't help but talk about there creator, the Good Doctor. One of the smartest people who from what research we have done has been cursed to not be able to taken serious if doing certain things. Some one who does evil things to achieve good is considered a hero by the villains and a Villain by the heroes. The truth of the matter is you get some one to play all sides and some how come out on top.

The doomsquad itself has a lot of things in common with the Family. He cares about his employee's like the Grand Parents in the family care for there children. Though the Doomsquad is much younger of an organization than the Family. We were preparing an invitation for them to join the Family as the SC branch of the family. This would of given them much deeper pockets and us more like minded people.

The Family Care's. The Family Protects.

His doombots are an interesting take on artifical life forms. Our project in that field are much less robotic, not my personal field of research. Though I did use the knowledge of that research to build the basic Bio-enhancement Suits. That is why the two work so well together. Sure a bio-enhancement suit will work with normal humans too, it just uses more power that way. I think out of the two major players in the area that are un-alligned that the Doctor is the more interesting of the two.

Every time he has been in police custody, even when there have been heroes with the police his plan enacted by his Family have always led him to escape. It does show how he is able to preform a gambit based on how people are going to interact and plan accordingly. I really think if Doctor Doomsday was a Canadian we would of recruited him into The Family, for not only his intelegence but how he treats people around him.

Though the one person he can never seem to fully read is, Walkman. That person seems to always surprise him, heck no one expected the “Hero” to go into retirement and just give up everything. With how he was acting, it was probable a good thing for him to retire.

I find it weird how much The Doctor seems to care about the “Hero”, but anyways if I am going to talk about Walkman, I guess I should do him next.

Powers: Music powers
Hair – Brown – Buzzcut
Eyes – Brown
Real Name: Unimportant

I know technically he is a Hero with a license from the Hero's Union but I have a feeling if he hadn't retired when it happened, the license would be revoked. You can only stop carrying about collateral damage, but that tends to happen when one abandons there civilian identity and just live as there hero.

Even now when he is not active as a hero he still goes by the Walkman name and Identity. In there first encounter Walkman tore off Doctor Doomsday's arms, and since than has always gone over the top to stop his crimes. Like the time he stopped a bank roberry by bringing the building down. It was due the doombots being there that there was no actual death.

Its acts like these, and acts against the other heros where the damage out ways what the crime would of cost themselves the reason that it any sane heroes union or heroes league would considered taking away ones license to be a hero.

I think the only reason that his licesnse wasn't revoked is the fact that he has in the course of aprehanding several villains, such as the villain who called himself Pho Flame, ended with the death of the villain. Therefore improving his success rate.

With his set of powers, and the types of non american music out there, I would love to get my hands on Walkman to see the extent of his powers. How they work. If understanding the lyrics of the music has any effect on the music. If lyricless music has any effect. There is a ton of different musics out there that I am willing to bet some one like Walkman has never considered such as Punjabi Rap, such as Raftaar, which is completely different to the American Rappers.

Zaria Letter Two

 Dear Father:

I hope the family business is doing well. I hope you and mother are well as well. I am currently on a very important mission for all of Zaria. I wish I could say more about that than people don't understand how economics will effect there ideas. It seems basic knowledge that an action like attacks or tarrifs on places or goods will dramatically increase the costs of good and be determinatle to the world. Something I am still not fully used to is Bandits are an issue for people who don't have the numbers of our Carvan.

If you are on schedule you should be around Estorus am I right? I hope that the next people are not as stupid as the other towns we have run into. If I am right about where you are at I feel that I will be doing my mission for all of Zaria away from the main roads. The Kobolds still meeting you on the roads to buy goods from the Caravan? I always liked those little guys. 

Any news I need to be aware of in this time and day?

Zaria Homework Six

 Victoria looks over at Aria and smiles at the wolf. Thinking back on her chat with Adolfa she shrugs and figures why not have one with Aria too.

Conversationally "I have always been better at talking with animals than humans. Don't get me wrong I am an open book and will tell the truth when asked." Hesitantly "its probable the fact that I am off by myself most of the time that they don't talk to me" saddened "my honesty is one of the reasons I get along better with animals than my siblings." A pause before continuing.

Chuckles "As my dad said when I told him I was chosen by Anael." Imitates her dads voice. "Must be true, you can't lie to save your life."

Conversationally "that is why I have no secrets and am an open book."

Zaria Homework five

  Waiting until a few moments before the beginning of dawn Vic takes a look around the area and it seems like everyone is alseep. She stands up and with a confused heart figures that her best course of action, or rather her only course of action to get her head screwed on right is to talk with Anael. Making sure the talk is in celestial recal the one and only time she made the mistake of praying in Infernal.

"I know when I followed you I promised I would do what it takes to make the roads and routes travelled safe for all travellers and merchants. Not just caravans. No one attacks caravans. 

The easiest and simplistic way to achieve that is to get the peace treaty resigned. While that won't make the roads safer it will keep them as safe as they are.

I know this means I have to ignore my instincts that putting economic sanctions on the treaty will make it harder for others to sign and will tank the people who put it ons' economy, if its whats required, its required.

You and I both know I am willing to kill to keep the roads safe. You and I both know I have killed bandits in the past while traveling outside the caravan. The issue is last night was the first time where I killed outside of combat.

I don't know exactly what came over me, or why I did it. Handing them over to the authority is the better option because than more attention is brought to the bandit issue and hopefully these . . the bandits get the proper justice. 

I know your goal of safe roads is a greater good than I could hope for. I know that I am willing to be your tool in achieving this. I also know that what I did last night and killing that bandit hurts your goal because he was captured and under control.

I will do everything I can to make the roads safer for everyone. I make this promise once again between you and me this morning."

Zaria homework 4

 Homework 4: Which other player character does your character find themselves having the most in common with and why?

Metaspeudes and Captain Pree are just too chaotic to understand for Victoria.

Turin while is a decent diplomat and seems to know what he is talking about is to scholarly to get along with as well as others.

Keokee - is to mysterious to know if Vic gets along with

Dhran - while Victoria does understand humans the best out of all the races she's travelling with he is a bit too indecisive and waiting for others to make decisions.

Adolfa Forest - she is a fellow female and a fellow mixed race raised in a culture of one of the races. It doesn't hurt that like Vic she cares for animals. She is the one that Vic gets along with the best.

Zaria Homework Three

Our attention is drawn to a scene around a lake around two year ago this time, a nineteen old Victoria looks forlorn

“So Father I know you need my help with the beast of burdens for one more season. I know that we just got an extra three wagons for this next season. These dreams, they keep telling me I have a destiny to full fill. You have done a great job raising me. I know. I know.

But You don't understand. Anael needs my help. Yes I don't know what exactly she has in mind for me, but I know that in my visions I am her champion. In this dream, we see ourselves standing at a cliff, over looking a valley with four paths. They continue out of the valley and beyond our sight. The staff feels warm in our hands, and I can feel it pull us towards something. I know not where it is guiding us, but I feel Her urgency through the staff. I cannot look at the it though, for her Grace is overwhelming and threatens to consume us. I feel as if we must obey, lest we be destroyed by this power. I know. But I have to follow my destiny. You understand, right Father?”

Taking a deep breath she casts her eyes across the lake. Taking several more deep breaths she closes her eyes. And mutters under her breath. “Okay now the actual hard part. To Tell father all this and that I am leaving.”

Zaria Letter One

Dear Thifafu:

I was wondering if you could make me the finest set of throwing knifes you have ever made with the word Honor and Family ingraved onto each of them. If you think that you could make them, if you could have a way for me to pick them up in port city that we will be traveling through in order to save time on our quest to get all the signitures required on this peace treaty.

Zaria Homework two

On Board the Nesaphia in the Cargo Bay

Victoria talks with SeaBiscuit in her attempt to train her to understand Vic to the point of Nodding and shaking her head when SeaBiscuit agrees / Disagrees.

“I guess you should know more about me if we are going to be travelling together for a long while. Where to start, where to start. I guess I should tell you what my greatest weakness is, your a horse, and I hope my friend. If you are my friend, than there is no problem with telling you what my greatest weakness is. So to explain what that is exactly I guess I need to go back to my younger years.

And no its not the fact that I can't stay in one place for more than a month at a time, that is a lesser weakness of mine. Nor is it the real fear that I don't know what it actually mean to be a teifling. Being raised by my extended family who are all humans, it means I do not not get tiefling customs, or any of that stuff.

No, my biggest flaw is the fact that I hate being in debt to anyone. I will always pay my own way. Always look after my own finances. I rather anything else happen than I owe money to someone else. I know its strange thing and that it doesn't make sense, because there are people out there who make there whole business lending people money.

Anyways, Sometimes I talk to much, or say things without thinking. Now while this has caused minor issues over my short life, there is one instance where I might tarnished my families reputaiton and caused a noble family to basically loath me. This goes back to my not understanding what it means to be a proper tiefling.

Me and my family where making a stop at Estorus when some one started talking to me. I didn't know who they where just that they where a fellow tiefling. I don't remember what I said to start her hatred, but I do know that everything I did to try to make up for it only made the gap between us widen. For the next few times we returned to Estorus I just made Zaehless Orinlenne hate me, to the point where the whole Orinleene dislikes me. That wouldn't be an issue if they weren't nobles with some sort of sway in the city.

So that is why when my family goes there these days, I camp outside the city and wait for them. Its easier for everyone and makes it easier for my family to do business in the city.
